Dr. Reid started the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Center in 2004 with the intent of providing quality surgical and medical veterinary care for area pets. She has seen her business flourish as it has become established in the community. She started in the veterinary field as a licensed technician, having graduated from SUNY Delhi and worked in private practice for 6 years and at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo for 6 years. In 1991, she was accepted to Cornell where she obtained her DVM degree in 1995. She worked in private practice for a year out of school and then worked in emergency medicine for 2 years prior to purchasing a local primary care veterinary clinic. She co-owned this clinic for 6 years before selling her interest and opening the Veterinary Emergency Center. Dr. Reid and her family share their home with 2 dogs and 3 cats.

Amy has been with us for the past 10 years and is one of our star employees. She manages the receptionists, makes sure that the clinic is spotless (along with several other employees) and bakes and sends the clay paw prints that we provide, at no charge, to the families that have had to say good bye to their beloved pets. She is knowledgeable and helpful and knows this clinic inside and out. Amy and her family own 3 dogs and 4 cats.

Tiffany has been with us for the past 9 years and she excels in everything she does. She is one of the first people our clients see and is always pleasant and helpful. Between her and Amy, our clinic shines in every way. She and her family are avid pet owners with 3 dogs and 1 cat.

Michelle is one of our outstanding technicians. She has been with the clinic since its inception and serves also as the bookkeeper. She is wonderful with the patients and owners and is a low key, steadying force. She also has a terrific sense of humor and helps provide the laughter that is so needed in our business. She and her family own 2 dogs, 3 cats and a guinea pig.
